Drive-By Truckers debut new song, new record out in 2011

Need some good news to get you to Friday so you can power your way to the weekend?

Will some new music from the finest Southern rock band alive, the Drive-By Truckers, do the trick? I thought so.

So go ahead and click play above and listen to “Used To Be A Cop” off the band’s upcoming 2011 record Go-Go Boots.

And yes, you did read that earlier sentence right. The Truckers are following up this year’s rather mediocre (for a DBT record) The Big To Do with a new album set to be released Feb. 15, 2011. The band will also be releasing a limited edition 10″ single on Black Friday (Nov. 26) which will only be available at indie record stores. The single will include “Used To Be A Cop” on one side and “The Thanksgiving Filter” on the other. Both songs will be on the new album and a download code for both songs will come with the vinyl.
