My Goodness to open for Tres Mts.

My Goodness will open for Tres Mts., the latest side project from Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament, at the Showbox March 16.

It seems like just last month Joel and Ethan of My Goodness, one of the city’s best new bands, was christening the website you’re reading at the High Dive during Guerrilla Candy’s Launch Party. Oh wait, that was last month. They sure do grow fast, don’t they?

Cheesy joking aside, it’s great to see that one of my favorite new local bands will be sharing the stage with members of my favorite band. Maybe Ament and Mike McCready (who is a touring member of Tres Mts.) took note when Guerrilla Candy explained why you should be paying attention to My Goodness. Okay, so maybe that’s tooting my own horn a bit too much, Joel and Ethan are very talented musicians and they have earned all the success they are getting. However, chances are Ament and McCready will become big My Goodness fans, if they aren’t already, after March 16.

Tickets to see My Goodness with Tres Mts cost $18 and can be purchased here. If you can’t make it to the Showbox or can’t afford the ticket price your next chance to see My Goodness will be April 8 at the Rendezvous where they will celebrate the upcoming release of their debut record which drops April 19 and the show is free. You can watch a behind-the-scenes video about the making of the video for the band’s single “I’ve Got A Notion” below.
