A few weeks back we mentioned a Buddy Holly tribute record that features an A-list cast of modern pop stars. The tracklist for the record, called Rave On, features artists ranging from Paul McCartney to the Black Keys to Florence and the Machine. And while all of those major musicians are cool, the song of most local importance is Modest Mouse’s contribution, which is the first new music to come out of the band in a few years.
