Listen: New music from Star Anna & the Laughing Dogs

Alone In This Together – Star Anna & the Laughing Dogs

Star Anna (a Guerrilla Candy favorite) is getting ready to release her third full-length album with her band The Laughing Dogs on July 12 and she’s teamed up with some pretty impressive friends who are helping her bring the album into the world.

The record, Alone in This Together, is being released on Rachel Flotard’s Local 638 Records and getting distribution help from Pearl Jam’s Monkeywrench Records. Having the support of both Flotard and the Pearl Jam camp speaks volumes to how much talent Star Anna and her band pack, but don’t take my or their word for it, give the record’s title track a listen above.

The track features guitar work by Mike McCready (as do two other songs on the record) and it is a great example of the emotion and power that’s felt all over the album. You’ll be able to experience that power and emotion firsthand when Star Anna performs at Neumos Friday night with the Dusty 45s ($12, 8 p.m.) or at any of the tour dates below, which includes weekend sets at Pearl Jam’s PJ 20 festival.
