Seattlest has been a valuable resource for online newsies both far and abroad for several years and it has a very special place in my journalistic heart.
When I lived in Eastern Washington I used Seattlest to keep up to speed on the local goings on here in the Emerald City and ever since I’ve kept coming back for interesting insights into what’s happening in my city. So needless to say I was thrilled to find out Seattlest started itself a music section a little while back, and like its mothership hub Seattlest’s music section does a good job of monitoring the actions of the local music scene.
Tonight Seattlest’s music folks are presenting their first showcase of local music at the Columbia City Theatre. The show features Andrew Vait, The Local Strangers and The Elderly. The show will be a CD release party for Vait and The Local Strangers so head on over to Columbia City to help them celebrate. ($810, 9 p.m.)
