The Young Evils make perfect summertime music, which makes them a perfect band for a late-night slot at Seattle’s ultimate summer festival, the Capitol Hill Block Party.

Call me sappy, but I believe love is a great emotion to have on your side while making music and one of the reasons why I think the Young Evils make such great summertime music is because it’s made with love.

Mackenzie Mercer and Troy Nelson, the principal players in The Young Evils, are two lovebirds who make sweet music together and it shows not only in their songs but also in, well, the cheeky video below that was shot at Sasquatch! as part of my day job.

Check out the clip to familiarize yourself with the band and then check out the Young Evils at Capitol Hill Block Party’s Neumos stage on July 23 at 10:15. Tickets for CHBP can be purchased here.
