UPDATE (10:53 a.m.): Official response from Pearl Jam’s publicist
“There is definitely no show scheduled for Dec 6 at Key Arena. Superglued is fixing their dates page — their database added a few to the itinerary that aren’t PJ dates.”
UPDATE (9:16 a.m.): The website where this tour date is listed allows users to post dates for any show by any artist, so it appears likely this Dec. 6, 2011 date is a false alarm. The below will be updated when/if official word is received from Pearl Jam’s publicist.

According to the Superglued website, which is working with Pearl Jam to give away a trip to the Pearl Jam Destination Weekend in Alpine Valley, Pearl Jam will be playing Seattle’s KeyArena Dec. 6.
Now, I hate to be a buzzkill to my fellow PJ fans, but this date has not been officially announced by the band so at this point it’s just a strong rumor. The band has said many times this year that the Pearl Jam Destination Weekend will be its only US dates for 2011, which makes news of this Dec. 6 gig suspect.
I typically don’t go reporting rumors here, but this one seems plausible and the reason why is because Superglued is working with the band to give away the PJ 20 festival trip. I know Pearl Jam chooses who they work with carefully and I don’t think the band would work with a company that would spread rumors about tour dates. Also, doesn’t it seem a bit odd that the band is celebrating its 20th anniversary and has yet to announce any events in Seattle?
However, as mentioned before, this is a rumor and nothing has been officially announced. I have sent an email to the Pearl Jam camp seeking confirmation and will update this post when/if I get a response.

I saw this too and got really excited and then realized it was a mistake. Anyone can enter a date for a show and there are a lot of cases on this site where a show has a calendar date right but the wrong year. An example is you can see a show at Clark County, near Portland, for 2010 when all the other shows around it are being played in Europe. It is the same date as the show played there in 2009 which is also listed. I personally added a few shows that were not listed. Not minor shows but like one of the shows played in 2009 in LA was missing.
I hope I am wrong.
