Mudhoney documentary ‘I’m Now’ to debut in June

The documentary I’m Now, which chronicles the careers of Mudhoney, will make its public debut at the Triple Door June 8.

The long-awaited film has been completed for quite a while and has been screened privately for friends and family (including the Pearl Jam crew, among others) but its release had been held back due to licensing issues with some of the band’s music from when it was signed with Warner Brothers Records. The movie was directed and produced by King of Hearts Productions, which is the same company that made the excellent documentary TAD: Busted Circuits and Ringing Ears (which you can watch for free here, don’t miss it because it’s a classic rock doc). The video for the Mudhoney song “I’m Now,” off 2008’s The Lucky Ones, features footage from the film. Check out the video below.

In other Mudhoney news,  the band is currently in the studio working on a new album. The record will likely include the song “Chardonnay,” which has been popping up in live shows recently.  The band’s next scheduled local performance is during Labor Day weekend at Bumbershoot.

I’m Now screens at 8:30 and 10:30 at the Triple Door June 8. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased here.
