A lot has been happening recently with UK sensations Florence + The Machine.
The group, led by Florence Welch and her amazingly powerful pipes, recently scored its first No. 1 single in their homeland with “Spectrum” (peep the visually impressive video for the song above) off its terrific 2011 release Ceremonials. That news may have been bittersweet for the band because it came on the heels of Welch blowing out her voice last week while performing in Europe and having to cancel a few shows after being ordered by doctors to rest her voice. Luckily Welch’s voice is okay and she’s been cleared to perform just in time for the band to kick off the latest leg of its US tour, which happens to be Saturday at White River Amphitheatre.
I’ve got two pairs of tickets to Saturday’s concert to give away to a few lucky readers. All you have to do to enter is drop a comment below using a valid email address and your first and last name (so you can pick up your tickets at will call). The deadline to enter is July 19 at 12:59 p.m. The winners will be chosen at random and notified on July 20. Good luck!
Florence + The Machine perform at White River Amphitheatre July 21 at 8 p.m. with special guests The Walkmen. Tickets range in price between $30 and $70 and can be purchased at this link.
