Listen: Pearl Jam’s ‘Ten’ as curated by me & Marco Collins

Travis Hay curates Pearl Jam’s “Ten” – live on Jet City Stream by Marco Collins

Yesterday marked the 21st anniversary of Pearl Jam’s debut album Ten, aka my most favorite album ever. In a strange stroke of Pearl Jam coincidence, it also marked the 16th anniversary of the release of No Code, which is my second favorite Pearl Jam record in case you’re curious.

In another strange stroke of PJ coincidence, I dropped by the Jet City Stream studios last week to help curate a playthrough of Ten for the station’s weekly feature where they play an iconic local record with a guest co-host. During the broadcast Marco Collins and I talked a bit about the band’s history, I spun some Pearl Jam b-sides and we even talked tattoos.

You can listen to the entire broadcast — which includes a playthrough of Ten and the previously mentioned b-sides — above. Be sure to tune in to the very end, if not for the b-sides you should keep listening to find out whether Marco has the Nevermind baby tattooed on his butt.
