Congratulations to local rapper Dave B. who won this year’s Sound Off! competition. As winner of Sound Off! Dave B. landed himself a slot at this year’s Bumbershoot and he became only the second hip-hop artist to win EMP Museum’s underage battle of the bands. Other notable hip-hop acts who have participated in the contest throughout its 12 years include Sol, Dyme Def and Brothers From Another. The other competitors in this year’s finals included the Fame Riot, As it Starts and She Bear.
