Tonight, The Croc hosts touring Pop bands The Kin, Finish Ticket, and Oh Honey.
Headliner The Kin – brothers Isaac and Thorald Koren, along with hand drummer Shakerleg – make up this New York City band known for their energetic performance, rich harmonies, and gritty pop sound. In 2013, The Kin were tapped as the US support for Pink’s US fall tour and are currently out on their own tour promoting Get On It, their first major label 5-song EP. It was released last October and recorded with famed producer Tony Visconti (Bowie, T-Rex) as well as former Record Plant staff engineer Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith) and Nic Hard (Joey Ramone, The Church).
* Note, watching Shakerleg’s stick-free, bare knuckle percussive styling on a full set of drums is worth the price of admission alone!
Hailing from Alameda, CA, Finish Ticket is a young Indie Pop act on the rise who is winning hearts across America. Swoon worthy, they consist of twin brothers Brendan and Michael Hoye, along with Gabe Stein and Alex DiDonato. Finish Ticket formed the band in 2008 inspired by artists like The Strokes and The Killers. Fans aren’t the only ones taken with Finish Ticket, as major label Atlantic Records just signed them. They’re out on their very first major tour promoting their album Tears You Apart and will join The Mowgli’s for some shows on the East Coast and Midwest next month. Catch these guys before they blow up!
Opener Oh Honey is an Indie Folk/Pop Brooklyn duo. Mitchy Collins, now a hardened, troubadour songwriter, and Danielle Bouchard, a whimsical forest wanderer, comprise the duo. Oh Honey has declared a reason to celebrate for the light-footed traveler through music. Meeting through friends, talking over a cold summer beer, buzzing like the honeybee, their music is sweet and harmonious. They’re out promoting their debut EP, With Love.
