Watch: Ann Wilson & Jerry Cantrell pay tribute to Chris Cornell

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held this past weekend and during the event Ann Wilson of Heart and Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains performed a sparse rendition of “Black Hole Sun” to honor their friend Chris Cornell, who died last year.

Aside from being connected by their Seattle ties, both have personal connections to Cornell. Wilson has spoken publicly about her friendship with Cornell and performed a tribute to her friend on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” when she sang “Black Hole Sun” shortly after his death. And Cantrell’s band was managed by Cornell’s ex-wife Susan Silver.
