Today marks the one year anniversary of Chris Cornell‘s death.

I’m sure there will be plenty of remembrances posted online today so I do not intend to add anything new to the mix. Instead I am highlighting three previously published items that I feel best represent Chris Cornell through my own experiences.

The first piece is my remembrance of Chris Cornell originally published shortly after his death reflecting on the loss of an icon and the brief time I got to spend with him nearly 15 years ago. The second is an audio playlist of snippets from my interview with Chris where he thanks his Seattle fans for the support and talks about his family. The final item is the profile I wrote for the Seattle P-I back in 2005.

Chris Cornell’s musical legacy speaks for itself. Hopefully these three items will help bring some attention to his life as a father and husband as well.
