Macklemore took to Twitch last night for a livestream for fans as part of the release celebrations for his excellent new album “Ben.”
During the livestream he revealed several things about the album and announced a free concert happening at Neumos tonight. Tickets for the concert, which will feature special guests, will be handed out at Neumos on a first come, first serve basis.
Of course this isn’t the first time Macklemore has pulled this free show at Neumos stunt. he famously held a secret show at the venue for the release of “The Heist.”
Other newsworthy tidbits from the livestream included Macklemore revealing that Lil Uzi Vert recorded a verse for the “Ben” track “Chant” but it couldn’t be used due to record label issues. Also, for those wondering where the local tour dates are for the “Ben” tour, Macklemore said more tour dates will be announced later this week. Nothing has been confirmed, but at least one large Seattle show seems likely, be it a Bumbershoot headlining spot or perhaps a multi-show run at Climate Pledge Arena.
